MEMBERSHIP

  • Organizing and supporting innovative campus programming about Israel and the Middle East, antisemitism, and Judaism.
  • Advising senior campus administrators on appropriate responses to antisemitism and efforts to delegitimize Jewish and Zionist identity.
  • Countering antisemitism and anti-Israel activism on campus and in the academy while upholding the principles of free speech and academic freedom.
  • Mentoring students and helping to facilitate their response to antisemitism and anti-Israel campaigns, such as BDS, on their campuses.
  • Encouraging academic institutions and professional academic associations to forge and enhance U.S.-Israel academic ties, including faculty exchanges, research collaborations, and study abroad programs.

MICROGRANTS

AEN members can apply for and receive grants of up to $3,000 to support campus programming or research related to AEN's mission or opportunities to field panels and workshops or other modes of engagement about AEN’s issues at academic professional associations and scholarly societies. Each academic year, the AEN Leadership Team prioritizes specific topics and invites applications on select themes.

Grants must be received through a department or other entity/unit at members' institutions. Grant recipients are required to provide a detailed grant report upon completion of the grant project or initiative.
